Understanding history is understanding human nature. Wars fought today differ only in equipment. The art of war is still standard reading material for the military mind and works the same today as it did in ancient times. you can virtually tell the future if you know the past.








just in case you don't recognize it the art of war was a book written around 500 bc. When I was in the marine corpse it was standard reading material.Is it true that without knowledge of the past we cannot understand the present?
A good example would be all the prophecies of the Old Testament that portended the coming of a Messiah; which occurred exactly as prophecy stated it would. Another example is God's own words: ';What was yesterday is today, what is today will be tomorrow, and what is tomorrow was in the beginning.'; History repeats itself, albeit not exactly as the past but in a definite recognizable form; each repeat worsening dramatically in the ';end of days,'; where we are today.
