';A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.'; True?

For some people, a wee bit of knowledge can cause them to think they are more expert on a subject than they really are.

Its alright to give an opinion, but unfortunately some do answer with so much certitude, laced with a tone that is so judgmental--- that a mere opinion is presented as some matter of certified fact.';A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.'; True?
i agree with you. it's true for some people who probably know one thing but would talk as if they know everything. based on one factoid they string up a whole complete story that would rival an encyclopedia in authority and in scope. ';A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.'; True?
in the world of espionage, better have no knowledge than a little or plenty of knowledge.In the event of capture, better be dead than spill informations however minimal it would be that could cause more of your comrade's lost of lives or anything.

in other fields, having a little knowledge is not dangerous if one is not to make performances of any kind to others. It is sometimes even good if one has a little knowledge cuz one tends to be more careful and not endeavor in a field one is unfamiliar.

There are cases when one recognized a fugitive or VIP that has committed some crimes has big possibility that one would be summarily executed so that there are no living witness/es. See no evil, speak no evil , hear no evil.
So true, very true. Little knowledge can often take you into uncompromising situations that demands more than you know.Reason why it is always safer to think that others are better than you because it is always better to be humble and keep things to yourself than boast it out loud then be sorry. Things you keep within you will simply come out if need be and that is true wisdom I'd say. To know when to let other people know what you know.
If you are a doctor, and you had an infection, you are in danger. If you don't know anything about infection, you would rather wash it, and then never care about it until it heals. But since you are a doctor, having an infection would make you think that there are a lot of possibilites that you happen as a result, it would make you uneasy since you know a lot of things. You would have difficulty sleeping since you would think on the most lethal outcome on that simple infection, which a naive person would just leave it alone and let there body cure itself.
Couldn't agree with you more.

There is this Filipino barber in New York, you know about this? The guy never knew the English language well enough.

But this customer kept looking at his watch, obviously with an appointment elsewhere. Now, how to assure him it's nearly finished? Aha! He remembered that in movies, always at the finale, there is this ';The End';. So, while sharpening his razor, he told the guy, with a grin, ';This is now your The End, sir.';

To the customer, of course, that grin was maniacal, and that razor has a menacing threat in its glint. He ran at full speed away from the barbershop, incomplete haircut and all, straight into the police station and had the barber hauled in jail.
Very true. An opinion is just that, an opinion. It is a different matter when you answer supported by facts unless the answer is based on personal experience then you don't need a confirmation of its truthfulness or any factual evidence.
To directly answer your question : No. A little knowledge is NOT a dangerous thing.

The danger comes in when this little knowledge creates the ILLUSION of being an absolute wisdom.
';Little'; is not absolute. It is relative. So to answer to your question, it depends on how little is little.Serious. :)
Absolutely agreed.
