Is this the true knowledge of a christian and/or jew?

stated earlier by a jewish woman

';I do not believe we evolved from apes because when something evolves it replaces what was...and apes are not extinct.';

definition of evolution:

1. any process of formation or growth; developmentIs this the true knowledge of a christian and/or jew?
your definition is any process of formation or growth; development right?..if apes evolve and growth, it turn into a new being right? so why there's still apes that doesn't evolve into human? Is this the true knowledge of a christian and/or jew?
Not all people of any given religion believe the same thing. Creationism VS evolution is a political debate at the moment, and while some use religion to justify their politics it's a lot more complex than that.

However, that woman does not sound as though she understands evolutionary theory very well.

These are the divisions of life:

Kindom

Phylum

Class

Order

Family

Genus

Species

Kingdom would be Fungus, Animal, Plant, etc, and is the highest. Species is the individual branch of a group, such as domesticated dog, etc. Within a species there may be phenotypical variations, such as different breeds of dogs with different fur lengths, but they can produce non-sterile offspring and are therefore in the same species.

';Primates';-- sometimes referred to as ';great apes';-- is a genus, categorized by, among other things, opposable thumbs. Human beings, as well as gorillas and chimpanzees, are all primates. Homo Sapiens Sapiens (human beings), however, are a species.

Also, I live in a 40% Jewish community, and I know only 3 Creationists.
I can see what shes saying but thats not why Jews believe that. Its because they believe they came from Adam and Eve.
If you believe that we evolved from ape , you just don't understand the idea behind evolution at all .

Apes evolved , and are still in the process of evolution , along one line . Humans evolved , and are still in the process of evolution , long another line . One does not turn into the other . There probably was some sort of being a few millions of years ago that was the forerunner of both apes and humans , but it would have been small and not resemble either .

This stupid question of why are there still apes comes up over and over again . It just shows that the person never took the time to read a couple of books before making a fool of himself .

So , I am an evolutionist and I don't believe that humans evolved from apes either .
we do not believe that....CREation is truth
No. This is a very poor definition of evolution to begin with, and is generally not the view of Jewish denominations.
