you have to believe that he died for your sins and arose from the dead. god knows your heart and he knows if you have faith in him. you have to confess with your mouth that he is the one true god and you believe he died on the cross and rose for you.JW's is it true that I just have to take in knowledge about God to have everlasting life?
It also necessitates that the knowledge is accurate.





(Romans 10:2) . . .For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God; but not according to accurate knowledge. . .





What is the point in knowledge of something that is wrong. Accuracy is very important to gain everlasting life.
You need to read the whole chapter, plus everything else Jesus and his apostles wrote.





John 17:3 is a good starting point.





This is a better translation than most other bibles that just state





3';This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.';

Thus the first definition is ';to learn to know';, so 'taking in knowledge' is a fair and accurate translation of the Greek.
That's only one requirement. It's the starting point. Once you take in the knowledge then you need to apply it. We're also required to do God's will.
I'm a JW and you have to take in knowlege of Jesus and God, Jehovah. But you also have to do it out of love for God, not just to gain everlasting life.
