Is this not true about knowledge?

Salam AlaykomIs this not true about knowledge?
Assalamualaikum

MashaAllah, that is brilliant wisdom shown by you my dear brother.

I think why we take knowledge for granted today is because it's so easily accessible that we choose not to hold onto it ourselves by assuming that the Internet, books etc will always have %26amp; preserve this knowledge so we choose not to commit it to memory. Also we find it harder to absorb and retain knowledge in this day and age because there is too much information everywhere, I mean there is volumes and volumes of information on the Internet and even in our Libraries and for us to go through it all in one lifetime can at times prove overwhelming, so we start to feel intimidated at the magnitude of knowledge available and we don't pursue it with such great enthusiasm thereafter.

And Allah knows best

May Allah provide us with guidance

yes Brother i m 100% agree with you, i will explain you why people possess hard against the truth.

because of that when they are in child hood they are listening and reading, after become a part of their knowledge. and when you said to them ';o my brother you are doing wrong'; al of sudden the replay,

';they are listening 1st time like this';.

'; or our scholar are told lie';

and if you give them proff they will said, ';our scholar said this is wrong';

it means they don't know nothing they are saying only what they hear.

so please don't let them free please we have to guide them with our behaviour and a good Speech with knowledge.

Remember in pray if some one going for ummrah or huj

thanks A Regards

Atta
'; today when we have all the books, all the information right in-front of us';

They are probably too many, those ';all the books';, to be worth anything? Ever thought of that? What do these ';all the books'; tell you by the way?

Here are some samples for you:

* During labor pains let the woman hold the hadith book, Mawatta Imam Malik for instant delivery (Thanwi, Aamal-e-Qurani).

* Around the year 140 Al-Hijra, the tomb of the Holy Prophet needed repairs. Builders asked Imam Ja'afar Sadiq whether it was okay to climb the roof. The Imam responded, ';Maybe you will find him engaged in sex with one of his wives'; (Usool-e-Kafi, Imam Kaleeni, Kitabil Hujjat 1:452).

* Imam Ja'afar Sadiq said, ';One who does not recognize us is a kaafir'; (Kitabash Shafi, 1:215).

* The earth is resting on the horns of a great bull. When he shakes his head he brings earthquakes (Ibne Kathir 2:29, 50:1).

* Then Ibne Kathir changes his mind: The earth is resting on a fish. The fish is resting on water, water on (the mountain of) Safa in Makkah, Safa on an angel, the angel on a rock, the rock on air. When the fish moves it causes earthquakes (Imam Ibne Kathir, Tafseer part I p.76).

* If the wife is not beautiful the husband's body becomes weak (Imam Ibnil Qayyam, Tibbe-Nabawi, ';Medicine of the Prophet'; p.479).

* Nehjul Balagha is a book believed by millions to be the most authentic on Earth after the Qur'an. This book is supposedly a collection of the speeches by Hazrat Ali. Unfortunately, the Mulla who wrote it, centuries after Hazrat Ali, ascribes such offenses to him:

v Woman is a scorpion that may please the heart but never refrains from stinging.

v Woman is all evil. The greater evil is that there is no subsistence without her.

v Women are deficient of intellect. Beware of even the good women.

* Imam Abu Suleman Jozjani told Mohammad bin Saad, ';I was in the company of Imam Malik. Imam Malik was asked, 'Can a man have rectal intercourse with his wives.' Malik struck his head with his hand and replied 'O' dummies! I am coming directly from bath after doing that. Don't you read in the Qur'an that your wives are your tilths, go into them as you please!''; (Amdatil Qari, Tafsir Bukhari).

* For adulterers the Qur'an ordains lashes and Hadith ordains stoning. What should be done then is 100 lashes on one day then stoning on the following day as in Hazrat Ali's time (Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal, Al-Balagh-il-Maarif).

* Take the front leg of a goat after Friday prayers. Be completely unclothed. Write Sura Yasin and the name of the person you desire. Then place the meat in a cooking pot. That person will surely fall in love with you (Mulla Ashraf Ali Thanwi, known as ';The Wise of the Nation';, Monthly ';Khalid';, Deoband Darul Uloom).

If you need more samples, feel free to search Mullah wisdom on google. There has never been any shortage of it.

I am sure you are not feeling guilty anymore for not reading ';all the books';. When Quran alone is not enough, then nothing would ever be... no matter how many hundreds of thousands of them they are... they shall never bring guidance !

As to the first part of your question - this is not true. Tens of thousands of people travel every year to the farthest parts of the world to attain knowledge, they travel thousands to miles only for the sake of knowledge, both from muslim and non-muslim countries. But only if you consider knowledge as not the monopoly of ';imams'; and mullahs.
Do not pursue that whereof you have no knowledge. Verily, the hearing and sight, and the heart, each of these will be asked (17:36)
we know it is there so we wait until tomorrow, because we know it is there, and we keep putting it off until there is no more tomorrow, until it is too late.
Those are some pretty-sounding words. They mean absolutely nothing.

Nothing.

Pretty words do not prove Ibrahim's deity.

Neither do peaceful feelings.
Yes brother it is true.

Alahmadulillah %26amp; Subhanallah!
no it isn't
