It is true one of the most common words found in the Quran is ';Knowledge,'; second only to Allah?

If this is true, this further confirms my suspicions of late that the Quran was highly influence by Gnosticism. Gnosticism = Knowledge, and ';knowledge'; is the most common word found in Gnostic writings.





Please only discuss the Quran vs knowledge vs Gnostic.It is true one of the most common words found in the Quran is ';Knowledge,'; second only to Allah?

The first most repeated word is Allah


2nd most repated word is ILM - KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge is the key to human progress and understanding. This is a Universal principle and is not a concept exclusive to Gnosticism alone, it is the concept of all successful and progressive societies the world over because it represents the real essence of human superiority over all God's creatures, so no surprise then that God (Allah) would choose to emphasize this uniquely advanced human quality in the Glorious Quran.

It is as simple as knowledge is power. You don't have to be a genius to figure that out. The Bible does not say so but the western world realizes the importance of knowledge.


Also, numerology is not something to be relied upon. I think you would have to go through the Quran and figure out how the word was used in each context.


Also on the idea of an imperfect God, I think muslims need to think hard about this before they regurgitate an answer given to them by their imams.





If god is perfect, then why did he feel the need to create ANYTHING?


Not just us or this universe, but anything?


If God is perfect than why does he suffer from emotions ';anger';


Why does he put people in hell for eternity for sins they commit for only a lifetime?


Do I deserve to burn in hell FOREVER for 60 years of sinning?


If God knows the future then why is there a need to create anything at all?


Although most people will never admit it, God is self limiting, therefore not without boundaries. Whether he imposes them on himself or not
Islam is not Gnosticism, Allah is perfect he created us and grant us knowledge, 1500 years ago people only new less then 1% of the total knowledge and today we still have only less then 1% of the total knowledge.





Allah courage us to seek knowledge and he grant us more knowledge when ever he choose to.

Knowledge is something we must seek till our death :) inshallah. It is VERY important. cos it's something that will help to always keep making our faith stronger. it is our shining light, alhamduallah

The Quran is the original word of God and not influenced by any other writings.
if only the salafis would take that into consideration and come out of the grave ignorance they have put themselves in.
Sorry but Gnostics believe that they were created by an imperfect god.





Allah is Perfect and this we know.
I don't know, never counted them..but i know that hell and heaven are mentioned equally
