There is no knowledge that is not power, do you believe this to be true.?

State your answer, opinions and reasons for your answer. There is no knowledge that is not power, do you believe this to be true.?
In overlysimplistic terms, this is true; however, it is not useful in many cases. For example, that one of my shoe's is untied and I'm going to tie it is knowledge that I had that you did not have until I typed it here. Before reading this, you did not know something that I myself did. How did I gain power by having that knowledge? Or more directly, how did I have more power than you did? I did in some miniscule way maybe, but, in the scheme of things, I really didn't.There is no knowledge that is not power, do you believe this to be true.?
I depends of which knowledge you speak of
All knowledge is power, but it is 'certainty' that trumps the power of knowledge.

Certainty - even when delusional - causes powerful outcomes in a manner that even knowledge cannot restrain.
Knowledge is power. Understanding is power multiplied. Wisdom is power unleashed.
Some knowledge is just plain useless, like An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain,A group of unicorns is called a blessing,Polar bears are left-handed,The sentence ';The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.'; uses every letter of the alphabet! ,Coca-Cola was once packaged in green bottles, but was never actually tinted green. Just plain useless what power did you gain from any of these things?
';information is not enough to produse the results we want. knowledje is only POTENTIAL power. action is what unites every success .

real ';power'; is the ability to act .
Knowledge being a power literally means it is wise to be well informed so one can make educated assumptions and opinions. It doesnt neccessarily mean that it is right. Opinions that are disproven easily and readily render that knowledge a fools weapon to lose power and credibility.

The most learned and wise persons concede truth is an immeasurable and fathomless ocean, and yet is found in a drop from those very waters.

The statement is entirely false.

Be loved...
i know completely useless facts that will never help me, they are not power
Knowledge is power.
Joe hit the nail right on the head %26amp; drove it home!!! Perfect answer!!!

I'll add your request for opinion %26amp; reason:

Actually, opinion has little to do with it...it's more come-on sense...If you truly know about a particular subject, you cannot be dissuaded from it's truths, thus steered into a direction that may not be in your best interests. (i.e. Knowing how a car is made, as well as it's functions, you cannot be told by another that the squealing noise is a major transmission problem, when it's just your serpentine belt...you just saved yourself a fortune!!!)

Understanding is a virtue that allows you to teach what you know to those who do not...the more like minds, the more you can turn a minority into a majority (multiplying the power)

Now enter Wisdom...the virtue of virtues!!! Knowing when %26amp; how to use your power to the most positive end(s). This is created through the experiences your knowledge %26amp; your understanding have provided %26amp; the choices you made of them...with this you are ';All that';!!! See???

Good Journey!!!
not necessarily true. there is certain knowledge that does nothing in the way of power (i.e. how many books on a bookshelf)

but

most knowledge is power if it can be used. understanding and wisdom are even more powerful though
Yes, because you never know what stupid piece of trivia you had fun learning today is going to come in as a life saver.
