No, you do not lose the chance to find it in a book or somewhere else, unless you stop looking. Present your question to other possible sources. Many sciences such as psychology (which can be somewhat nebulous) do better with multiple inputs.

You can ask for answers here AND seek the answer in a book or elsewhere on the web. It doesn't cost anything. Sometimes the answers are surprisingly helpful and revealing!
Not all true knowledge lies in books. There are some knowledge that just can't be written.


Yahoo! Answers is nice in the sense that it gives you a chance to gain knowledge from people all over the world and for anything under the sun.

no. but since everyone has opinions, they will give you a piece of their mind. anyways, i never understood this, is why do people ask for psychology help on yahoo instead of going to a therapist? lots of people toil around yahoo hoping someone will fix them FOR FREE even though they arent trainned in the profession and hardly know anything.
